Karen, the host, went above and beyond to provide the breakfast I asked for, croissants from Forsyths. The location in the heart of the city was perfect for exploring and enjoying the shops and restaurants. The Hideaway was incredibly cosy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing Autumn break. We loved the board games and the chance to disconnect from our screens. The amenities like the free wi-fi, dryer, and electric kettle were super convenient. The flat-screen TV was great for movie nights. The VIP check-in/out made us feel like stars. The outdoor dining area was a nice touch for enjoying the chilly but sunny weather. the attention to detail and the homely atmosphere made our stay at The Hideaway unforgettable.

The breakfast provided exceeded my expectations, with the host going out of their way to accommodate my specific request for croissants from a popular local bakery. It was a delightful start to my day. the location of the hotel was convenient, making it easy for me to explore the city and visit nearby attractions. I also appreciated the extra effort made by the staff to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
the bedroom floors were not carpeted, which resulted in my husband slipping and falling. This was quite concerning and could pose a safety risk for other guests.

The bathroom was well-maintained and stocked with amenities. The staff provided excellent service, particularly Karen, who went out of her way to accommodate our breakfast request. The delicious croissants from Forsyths were a delightful treat.
Navigating the iron steps proved to be challenging, especially for individuals with limited mobility.

The terrace had such stunning mountain views that I couldn't help but feel like I had stepped into a postcard. The nearby town of Dunfermline was a convenient 49 km away, perfect for a day trip.
Who needs carpeted floors when you have the thrill of a husband slipping and falling? And the iron steps, oh, they were just a delightful challenge for my less-than-flexible hips.

The apartment at The Hideaway is absolutely stunning. The rooms are cozy and the decor is tastefully done, making it feel like a home away from home. I loved that the apartment had two bathrooms, it made getting ready in the mornings a breeze. Plus, the beds were so comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer, allowing us to cook meals and enjoy them together at the spacious dining area. It felt like we were a real family, even on vacation. The private entrance added a touch of exclusivity and made us feel like VIPs. Plus, the patio with garden views was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings.
While the apartment was well-equipped, I personally found the shower in one of the bathrooms a bit small. However, this might not bother others who are more used to compact spaces.
